I have Toshiba Satelite A105-S4384 Laptop.A couple of weeks back battery was about to drain completely.I plugged AC supply and thought that it will go as usual.but when I disconected AC supply Laptop shutdown.Since then I can see orange light Indicator ( charging indicator) is glowing on laptop front panel but it is not charging battery.I removed and fixed battery again to laptop but it didnt worked out. Before this happened laptop charger was blown off ( may be because of power fluctuations ) but when I am connecting AC supply laptop does work but doesnt charge battery .I checked with HCL which is third party support for Toshiba and they are charging me Rs.1700 just for checking. Can anyone help me how should resolve my laptop battery problem.is there any reasonable and true service center in h'bad which i can look for ? or what are the things that I can check myself before contacting anyone ? Kindly forward me contact numbers for the same. Thanks in advance for your help. Siddhu

The orange light coming on and off at even interval is actually an error code for almost all the laptops. Different intervals denote different error codes. I only have a very limited knowledge of Laptop hardware, but a common problem might be a power surge which has incapacitated the motherboard and battery link. If you can hear your CPU fan running than the problem may be in video card link up.
My advise this is not a PC which you may be able to disintegrate and put it back again. CALL IN THE EXPERTS. Better to be safe than sorry. :)

Hi Siddu,
Most probably the battery is gone because of Power Flctuations or something. If the Laptop is under Warranty, contact HCL Support again (040-27765411), give them your laptop's Serial Number. If it is under warranty, You need to take your Laptop to their Support Center at Begumpet and the support should be absolutely free. If the Laptop is not under warranty, you may need to pay the service charges as per their quotation. You can find many retail vendors for all the type of issues with laptops in places like CTC, Ameerpet, etc. You can contact one of this guy - Mr. Nishith Reddy - srinidhicomputersolutions@gmail.com.

| Thanks Anshuman and Vijay for your valuable reply.I think the problem lies in three conditions 1) Adaptor is malfunction ( charging signal is no more working after it got blown-off ) 2) Mother board to charging connection lost 3) Battery is expired.
