| A Love Saga Of Our Times! |

The story of Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore) and Landon Carter (Shane West) - is what A Walk To Remember is about. The story may have been told before, boy meets girl, initially doesn't like her, then falls in love with her, but leukemia plays the villain and gets the better of their love. However the way its been told is no less than the way epic love stories have been told sans all that drama. The story handles love with sanctity, not the way our movies off late do, crudely.
Based on the book by Nicholas Sparks, also called A Walk To Remember, the movie unfolds at the perfect pace for its genre, for what is romance without the subdued movements of its protagonists. The make up, clothes, and performances are so realistic that you really begin to believe that you are in fact watching the lives of Jamie and Landon. The beautiful location, classy sets form that perfect backdrop for a story of this magnitude.
This movie goes to show how simple stories can touch us in a manner that no complex narrative can. There are a few scenes where you for a minute wish you were one of the protagonists. Watch out for "Only Hope" performed by Mandy Moore, and if you are a guy you are sure to fall in love with her instantly ;-) And the marital vow Jamie's father reads taken from scriptures is what the movie really tells us!
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Watch it if you havent. It will touch you the way no movie has before.
