Have Your Cake And Eat It Too...
Midways Bakery is right next to Nagarjuna Circle on Road #1. It is important to mention this simply because if you take a turn slightly faster than a snail, you will soon realize the bakery is way behind you! And then you would have to go some distance and also take a double U turn to get to this place. Well, assuming you reach your destination without too much of a hassle, you will be pleasantly surprised to walk into a nice bakery that also serves a whole bunch of fast food items.
In the past few months alone, I must have visited Midways at least half a dozen times! In fact, depending on where you stay, you probably don't even have to go all the way to this bakery. That's because Midway's also offers telephone based booking and free home delivery. A typical 1 kg chocolate or pineapple pastry birthday cake costs Rs. 247. This is the entry level price. Other cakes cost more! The customer service inside the store is very friendly. And in case you need paper plates, napkins or plastic spoons, they will hand it over at no charge.
Overall, it is a pleasant experience having a cake at Midway. The taste may not be as great as some of the expensive cakes you get in premium bakeries around Hyderabad. But in a premium bakery, you will also be paying 2 to 3 times the price for the cheapest 1 kg cake!!! BTW, Midway's also serves fast food items like pizzas. So, if you are feeling a bit hungry, you can definitely afford to check this place out!
